SCC Ministries

Get involved at SCC!

We have a number of different opportunities for you to get involved at Snellville Christian Church.

  • community Groups

We want everyone to be a part of a community group! These are small groups of people who meet throughout the week to grow together in their faith. Check out our community group page or e-mail Chris Stockmyer for more info.

  • Youth ministry

We have programs for newborns-6th grade on Sunday morning and have Wednesday night youth group as well. If you would be interested in being a nursery worker, classroom teacher, or youth sponsor, e-mail or talk to Aaron Moffo. Every volunteer that we have work with our students must first pass a background check. Visit out our Youth page to see all of our classes.

  • clothing closet

Contact Alexis Newton if you are interested in helping out with the Clothing Closet on the first Wednesday of every month. Clothing closet volunteers also meet to help sort through and organize donations prior to the first Wednesday. You can check out more info on our Clothing Closet page.

  • Missions Team

Contact Dennis Bass if you are interested in helping out with the SCC Missions Ministry. We meet on the third Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. in the church building. Missions members oversee the missions we support and make decisions regarding funding. you can check out more info on our Missions We Support page.

  • care ministry

Our care ministry exists to help out SCC members in times of need by providing meals and other services for individuals who are experiencing hard times. There are info forms in the church lobby if you would like to sign up for this ministry. If you know of someone in the congregation who could benefit from the care ministry please e-mail our offices.

  • praise team

If you are vocally or musically talented you can contact our Worship Minister Dean Lancaster to express interest in being put into the praise team rotation. Worship practice is every Wednesday at 6:30 and Sunday mornings at 9.

  • Av booth/powerpoint

Anyone willing to put in a little time can be trained to run the soundboard or control the slide show on Sunday mornings. If sitting in the back and pushing some keys/turning some nobs sounds like a job for you e-mail Cindy Bristow

  • donations

We are always accepting food donations for Southeast Gwinnett Co-op, as well as clothing for the SCC Clothing Closet. Non-perishable food donations can be left in the bin by the nursery on any Sunday morning and clothing can be dropped off in the collection bin in the Family Life Center behind the church.
